Briefing
The Briefing module enables the force’s intranet or briefing process to be integrated with UNIFI through the use of web portals, i.e. when an officer logs into UNIFI they will be presented with the force’s web briefing pages. In this way individual officers can receive Force-wide, section-wide or individual briefings on a daily basis when they log into UNIFI. The briefing page is presented to the officer on the front page of the application. UNIFI front screen showing embedded web page
EnquiryThe Enquiry module provides a mechanism to initiate and record the progress of an enquiry. Typically an enquiry will be related to a specific case and hence the subject of the enquiry will be a case related person or organisation. However, enquiries may also be initiated for reasons not related to a specific case, such as at the request of another police force or vetting agency. Enquiry types can be split into two groups: disclosure and non-disclosure. The list of non-disclosure enquiry types supported is a system configurable list. Investigations can be initiated locally via View Nominal/Person, nationally via the PNC or externally via an External Enquiry Request to another Police Force. Details of the enquiry's creation are recorded in the diary together with any reminder entries. As the enquiry progresses to its conclusion, further diary entries are created to record significant events, and general information is entered directly. Enquires are associated with the Tasking and Workflow module thereby allowing an enquiry to be allocated to many individual officers. The progress of the enquiry can be monitored and reported against using all the features provided by the Tasking and Workflow module. Enquiry Module
