The Case Preparation module allows information to be collated and built in order to send the file to the CPS electronically. As the Case Preparation module uses the same database as the other modules, the module is automatically populated with information required, i.e. Custody. Case Preparation enables the user to create or update a case file from within the Custody module or as a stand-alone case report. UNIFI supports full English law for Case Preparation, and interfaces to CPS Compass and Libra Magistrates Court systems.

This module also includes the ability to record Road Traffic Collision (RTC) files. This offers a different perspective on the RTC requirement – being case file led – than the Vehicle Accident module described later – it is more STATS recording led.

Scottish

In Scotland the UNIFI Case Preparation functionality prepares the file to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and as for the English module shares the same database as the other related modules such as Scottish Custody and the Crime module, reducing re-keying.
