Warrants Management/Wanted Process

The Warrants Management / Wanted Process module is designed to facilitate the administration of Warrants. Warrants divide into two broad categories, apprehension and retrieval of money. Warrants are created by first selecting a specific nominal. This emphasises the overriding quality requirement to ensure that warrants are not created for the wrong nominal. Warrant updates start with the selection of a nominal, followed by the selection of a specific warrant for that nominal. This again is to emphasise the overriding quality requirement that the correct nominal is being processed. This maintains consistent information for that nominal across many warrants.

There are facilities available to select warrants based solely on warrant details, essentially by-passing the selection of a nominal. These facilities are intended for use by a restricted set of users, for example within a warrants processing office. These facilities might typically be used to process a set of warrants that were created during a period of time when the PNC was not available. SCRO and PNC access is achieved from within the module to aid the warrant creation and update process. Facilities are also provided to generate on-line letters relating to warrants and in particular payment requests.

Wanted Process functionality offers the ability to place "interest" flags against Nominals which can be used flexibly by forces to highlight other requirements against Nominal records.
