Laredo, TX Police and Fire Departments Select SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Software

SunGard HTE (http://www.sungard.com/hte) announced that in December 2006 the Laredo, TX Police and Fire Departments selected the OSSI Public Safety Suite, including: Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), Mobile Computing Technology (MCT), Mobile Field Reporting (MFR), and Internet Technologies including OpCenter and Police-to-Citizen Data Sharing. 

Laredo, TX Police and Fire Departments will now share information across agencies and with their citizens. This fully integrated, multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional system will provide real-time access to shared data, which will help improve response times, solve cases faster, and help reduce crime, while helping increase officer and citizen safety. In addition, citizens will be able to use the Internet to get information about their community. And when in the field, fire departments will have access to firehouse data, enabling viewing of occupancy data and pre-plan information.
